this thread reminds me that on saturday night in greenville, instead of taking a cab back to a friends house...me and a buddy gave one of the 'drunk bus' drivers 5 dollars to drop us off in front of the house

uh, so whats the point of this? to park on campus before you go out drinking? how does this help reduce drunk driving, most students on campus are not 21.

too bad I don't live in Wolf Village, might actually be practical

either way, have one driver to-from campus, maybe they drink a bit less than the others, sober up a little on the bus ride back

We used to take the wolfline to the hillsborough st bars on occasion. Actually being able to get downtown would have been awesome.

its still highly inconvenient from where apartments are to use this. linking 2 buses together to get downtown, or just have my group pitch in 4 bucks to get there in less than half the time is better imo.

wouldn't be a bad idea if it had some stops near where 21+ year olds actually live....

how many on campus kids are even old enough to partake in the night life activities which this service would help facilitate?

i wonder if they even bothered to think about that?

Raleigh to Greenville by vehicle is 90 minutes tops, by bus, 5 hours with a transfer in Rocky Mount.
Centennial Campus to ~ES King on foot 40 minutes at a leisurely pace, by bus, upwards of 45 minutes if you don't time it right.

I've thought that busing after dark is all but pointless due to the low frequency of arrivals, which depending on when you're riding (if you just finished some work) you can be waiting a terribly long time. Only good thing about the night buses is that you can talk to the drivers for pretty much the whole ride back to where you're going; it's not like there's anyone else on the bus to talk to.

^^Fake IDs. And the young ones need the most help.

If you're 22 years-old (maybe 21), you shouldn't be regularly drunk driving anymore.

Plus, kids on campus are less likely to have cars. This serves the carless.

Okay dumbass, I think they wanted your ass to have fun with a connector in your ride. You're a big boy aren't you? They probably wanted to keep the loop time as short as possible.

WolfProwl: Taking dipshits to rapetown since 2009.

State wants to help revitalize Hillsborough Street, but they're paying to bus people to Glenwood.
