a journey toward a better educated TWW.to start, In thermodynamics, the first law of thermodynamics is an expression of the more universal physical law of the conservation of energy. Succinctly, the first law of thermodynamics states:"Energy can be transformed (changed from one form to another), but it can neither be created nor destroyed."“The increase in the internal energy of a system is equal to the amount of energy added by heating the system, minus the amount lost as a result of the work done by the system on its surroundings."

the second law of thermodynamics is that the change in entropy, or disorder, is greater than or equal to 0. it is equal to 0 in ideal processes and positive for real processes. this often leads to some crazy philosophical stuff because it essentially says that, no matter what you do, the universe moves towards disorder

The third law of thermodynamics is a statistical law of nature regarding entropy and the impossibility of reaching absolute zero of temperature. The most common enunciation of third law of thermodynamics is:“ As a system approaches absolute zero, all processes cease and the entropy of the system approaches a minimum value. ”Note that the minimum value is not necessarily zero,[1] although it is almost[2] always zero in a perfect, pure crystal; see the article Residual entropy for more information. The essence of the postulate is that the entropy of the given system near absolute zero depends only on the temperature (i.e. tends to a constant independently of the other parameters).

Machiavellianism is, according to the OED, "the employment of cunning and duplicity in statecraft or in general conduct", deriving from the Renaissance diplomat and writer Niccolò Machiavelli, who wrote Il Principe (The Prince) and other works. Machiavellian and variants became very popular in the late 16th century in English, though "Machiavellianism" itself is first cited by the OED from 1626. The word has a similar use in modern psychology.Machiavelli, according to the popular view, although this is disputed at least in part by most Machiavelli scholars, held that people were by nature untrustworthy, malevolent and self-serving, and thus those in power could only maintain their position through exploitative and deceitful actions.

(8 February [O.S. 27 January] 1834 – 2 February [O.S. 20 January] 1907), was a Russian chemist and inventor. He is credited as being the creator of the first version of the periodic table of elements. Using the table, he predicted the properties of elements yet to be discovered.
