nah, you wouldn't crash the universe. some "coincience" would occur preventing you from killing him (i.e. slipping on a banana peel, or delivering a non-mortal wound).

If it were me, i'd definately travel back to like the trojan war and bring a sniper rifle, a box of grenades, and a couple MG's with a few million rounds.

I was going over these thinking I really don't know what I would do if I could go back in time until I read this:
