Every click on the internet there is a 2 cent tax. How broke would we be?

Wasn't Bush shooting around the idea of taxing e-mails?[Edited on February 20, 2009 at 7:51 AM. Reason : a]

Ha, I remember that. Its like sending a letter right? But lets tax you for every song you listen to.[Edited on February 20, 2009 at 7:53 AM. Reason : /]

Yeah, it had to do with the decline of postage stamp purchases since hardly no one under the age of 60 sends a regular letter anymore.

They raise the cost of stamps every May, so in about 2025 they should have made up for up.
2/20/2009 7:55:40 AM
lol, I know and it pisses me off. I probably buy a book of stamps MAYBE once a year, and by the time I get halfway through it I have to buy more because they raised the price.
2/20/2009 7:56:21 AM
Well, I though postage was postage, so if you ship stuff via USPS then they still make monies.
2/20/2009 7:57:32 AM
The only things I use stamps for are my water bill (since they don't have e-bill) and birthday cards. So at the most I probably use 20 stamps a year[Edited on February 20, 2009 at 7:59 AM. Reason : a]

I might use 5 a year. I use to mail in this one payment, then I started doing it over the phone to save dat paper.
2/20/2009 8:00:28 AM
I do typically ship packages via USPS though, so they get their money out of me that way I suppose
2/20/2009 8:01:26 AM
I just sent out 3 myself but normally only mail once in a blue moon. It is a good idea to buy the forever stamps to avoid having to buy 1 cent stamps or new stamps.
