Well, being that I worked at the animal shelter, in a companion animal research lab, a vet clinic, and have had cats for 3 years, no I have never seen or heard about it.

No they do not if you brush them enough and feed them premium food. Its funny to me because it only happens every so often to my cats because of said reasons.
