My company is filtering sites on blackberries now. Anybody know if this is something pushed to the phone that I can change? Or is the blocklist maintained somewhere on the BES or even verizon's systems. 2/27/2009 4:18:15 PM |

Are you on their VPN or wireless network? 2/27/2009 4:38:17 PM |

^^This is a company provided phone, I'm using the Enterprise server to get emails, contacts, etc.
^This is a blackberry so I'm using regular data services. I don't know if a VPN exists over this or not. I definitely know its not wireless. 2/27/2009 4:42:38 PM |

^^the company that provided the phone obviously. Or they wouldn't go through such great lengths to block you from non-work related sites.

it's on the BES more than likely

you can reset it, BUT everytime it syncs with the server it will reset anything you did.
you have to speak with the IT guys to prevent that and have them modify your particular settings. 2/27/2009 7:36:44 PM |

yeah, i'm fairly certain all your web traffic gets filtered through the BES on your company's end. nothing you can really do except stop using a blackberry. 3/20/2009 11:25:39 AM |
