it's a vizio TV. there's a translucent gray box in the upper right with a number 2 in it. it won't go away. it's still there when i turn the cable box off.
i've pushed every button and looked through the settings menus

i'm guessing you have a TWC box?
my buddy had the same problem on his tv. We tried different cables, another box, everything and it wouldn't go away. it finally left on its own like 3 weeks later. We searched and searched google but there didnt seem to be a clear reason why nor a clear solution.
