It's not a bad deal for that price.

i read some amazon reviews that said they almost always crap out after a year or so but it appears to be a grounding problem with the pots for the volume/bass controls, so i'm hoping i can just crack mine open and replace them... we'll see.

but for $25, i didn't think i could go wrong.

yeah i have this too, and the sound is awesome, but i definitely have the volume/bass control crackling problem.

if you get it and figure out how fix it, lemme know what you did.

i'm still using my klipsch promedia 5.1 setup from 2001 or so for my tv surround sound and using klipsch's little digital decoder as my receiver - slightly ghetto but it gets the job done

^Those were probably the best computer speakers ever made.

same here. they are still excellent, otherwise indestructible speakers. they have a much sharper sound than other brands (as opposed to a warm sound), so it's personal preference really. i'm still using my ProMedia 2.1 that i got 7 years ago.

i've got a 2.1 set and love them (like i used to love my 5.1 set). so yeah, $25 is great as long as they work fine

with mine, only thing ive noticed with the volume dial is the volume never goes to 0...if i turn it all the way down then sound still comes out from one of the speakers...and i have to turn the dial to a certain point until sound will come out of the second speaker. annoying on a couple levels there...

anyone had this particular problem with theirs?
