I use Nero, works fantastic for me.
I don't need a bunch of features, im not a movie studio.

For anyone else needing support, COREAVC makes a great decoder, which will allow Mediaplayer (even mplayer2) to play .mts files.
FFDShow is a free decoder, but not sure about performance on it as AVCHD is very CPU heavy.
