possible? I just want to add a line to a surface plot.
I originally just drew a line on there, but as data updates, scales change (as needed) and throw the line off... 3/27/2009 3:13:49 PM |

i was thinking adding a series on a 2nd y-axis, but it appears you can't do that with a surface plot.
what is the line for? is it associated with a data set? 3/28/2009 5:29:20 PM |

I'm using surface plots to show concentrations over time & space. I'd like a line (just on the back wall or something) to show the state maximum concentration for comparison. 3/28/2009 5:52:16 PM |

i don't use surface plots regularly, but I made a few and played around with them, and I couldn't figure out a way to add another series on a 2nd axis, which is probably what you need. Guess it's not possible with this kind of plot. just have to do it by hand i guess 4/1/2009 11:14:10 PM |

well, at this point it's pretty clear that you're not going to get any help with how to do it in Excel, so you'd better start taking advice on alternative methods. If those methods don't help you, so be it, but no need to dismiss them out right. 4/4/2009 10:21:33 AM |
