I've got a font I dled and installed on my mac that has regular, bold & italic...and I installed it in my fontbook. For some reason when I open up photoshop and try to use it, the only option it gives me is the 'bold' option...now if I try use it in Word (for example) then it's fine......any ideas why it's not working in PS?

Are you sure that the bold and italic fonts were all in the same file and not in separate files?

yah...even tried JUST installing the reg one and still doesn't work in PS

But, this seems to indicate that Photoshop has a font limit: http://forums.macosxhints.com/showthread.php?t=25590

Try disabling some other fonts and see if they show up.
