old thread died, so here's V2.0
if you haven't heard their newest record "Lost in the Sound of Separation", do it. i think its their best, without question.
or at least listen to track 5- Slow Seduction 4/3/2009 1:59:59 PM |

I totally thought this was going to be a thread about underOATH v1.0 (act of depression, cries of the past, changing of times) vs underOATH v2.0 (theyre only chasing safety, define the great line, lost in the sound of separation).
(sorry kevin, I had to)

^This weekend I re-ran across some pics on josh's myspace of Camerata at Avondale Presbyterian church in Charlotte around 2002. I was there, good times were had. And I specifically remember listening to Cries of the Past on the way to that show that night. 4/6/2009 10:42:58 AM |

Underoath shoudl have never been able to carry on under that name...such a shitty rendition of a band that was once so great and Dallas' new band just doesnt do it for me. 4/6/2009 2:32:16 PM |

uhhhh never said a word about "false metal" but spare me the genre categorization...just sayin give it a listen if you haven't yet. again, Slow Seduction is freaking awesome (especially the 1st 30 seconds).
the music is more unpredictable than past records. i think its one that grows more and more on you each listen, at least it is for me.
(agree with the name change tho) 4/6/2009 3:20:15 PM |

hah. I was so pissed when TRT broke up and Spencer went to UO. I was REALLY looking forward to a TRT full length but was only left with 2-3 unmastered recordings that were being demo'd for the full length. That EP was so good. 4/6/2009 3:53:28 PM |

i agree though that this album grows on you. when i first got it, coming off Define The Great Line, i was quite disappointed. the more i listen to it though, the more i like it. it's just not the same as old underoath, but i've gotten over that. i pretty much consider their first albums one band, and the last few as another. 4/6/2009 5:29:46 PM |
