My dad is a huge mustang nut (he's had 8 so far, I think). He's looking to get a new 2010 model and I was wondering if I should advice him for/against this year or a certain model. I'm sure he wouldn't mind getting a 2009 for cheaper.

Any advice is welcome, I'm way out of my element here.

the interior on the 2010 is much nicer. the roush version is nice from what i can tell.

[Edited on April 13, 2009 at 8:51 AM. Reason : worth it just for the interior.]

Honestly a heavy solid axle car that is about as refined as a hammer..

If he likes mustangs he will love it otherwise :pass:

If he wasn't a Mustang fan I'd tell him to hold out for the 2010 Camaro, looks to be superior in every way possible.

if this is true:

then i would wager that he's pretty capable to do his own mustang shopping by now without the opinions of his admittedly "out of element" kid. i'm even more confident that he needs the inputs of the damn TWW GARAGE of all places like he needs another hole in his head.

They blow up too easy .... but they sure do go down the 1/4 fast.

honestly i drove a 650whp 750ftlb 351 powered fox on the street... it was terrifying
awesome at the track but..... there isn't a big enough street legal tire to make that easy to drive on the road in a 2400lb notch back (with a stall torque converter).

then i switched to subarus... on the street a "big turbo" sti is still fun and quick albeit the 100+ area doesn't go nearly as fast.

none of these do i want now... i just want a car that drives and rides nice.

Just reading "650whp and 2400lbs" made me scared!

pussies, thats why you get a quick ratio steering box, because you can go lock to lock in 1.5 turns and keep it pointed where you want it to go

maybe Im crazy, but thats one of the reasons I love mustangs, is the lack of refinement.

this is why american cars still suck, people have low expectations

^Its not low expectations, on the contrary, I expect a lot, its the fact that its not as refined as a bmw or a benz is what i like. Its spartan, the same reason i like my jeep.
