My old lcd was cracked but had no lighting problems. In case you want me to hook it back up I threw it away . My new lcd shows pciture but it won't light up. When I unhooked my old lcd I didn't tamper with the inverter any and don't know how I could have broken it. Is there any way I can find out if the inverter is broken or if its a plug? 4/17/2009 4:00:36 PM |

It's the inverter. You're going to have to open it up to find out anyway, but it has about a 0.0092% chance of anything else being the issue. 4/17/2009 4:02:14 PM |

No, it could just as easily be the backlight bulb. Or one of the connectors. Or that the new display doesn't send the right signals for the comp to power on the backlight (which sounds odd, but is pretty common with IBM machines in particular if you don't buy the exact right model LCD). 4/17/2009 6:04:06 PM |

I bought the exact model lcd and I'm pretty sure the bulb works. I guess I'll have to order an inverter. If its not the inverter what else could it be and how would I go about fixing it? 4/27/2009 9:35:58 PM |

If the new inverter doesn't work is anyone willing to troubleshoot and fix it for a price? 4/29/2009 2:42:18 AM |
