woke up this morning to find a fucking flock of birds bombed my car. I managed to scrape all of the shit off but one particularly nasty pile left a stain on my roof.

I tried elbow grease and rewaxing the area but it is still there. Any advice/techniques on getting the stain to disappear?

Take baking soda and dissolve in water. let sit on the area, then wipe clean. use some sort of polish to polish out the imperfections, then rewax.

Holy shit, bird shit can do that?

Uh.... Gee, maybe I need to repaint my car sooner than I thought. Maybe I'll go wash it tomorrow. >_>

Well the key to good results using the trick is to make sure to polish with some sort of light abrasive polish after (scratch-x), then rewax.

If the bird poo stain does not come up after this, then it will need to be wetsanded.

speaking of, i used some scratch-x 2.0 this morning and that shit is gone!

had to do about 6 applications but that stuff really made the etching disappear.

Good Deal then.

The real key to making sure bird poo dont stick is to keep wax on the surface.

I used Scratch-X a few weeks ago. Worked great for like a week and a half and then all the scratches came back just as bad as they had been. Too much work for short term results. I'm only going to use it right before I sell a car from now on.

If you have a good wax job, there's no freaking way that bird shit will start fucking up your paint within the span of less than 24 hours.

Nonetheless, with bird poo its always best to clean that shit off ASAP

^^ Scratch-X has "fillers" in the liquid that mask swirl marks and scratches. It also has abrasives, so if the formula did not get rid of your scratches ( rather it filled them) then you will need a more abrasive compound. Try Meguiars Ultimate Compound followed by Swirl-X and then top with a quality wax.
