Priest up to Stained Class .GTE. Maiden >>>>>>>>> Priest after Stained Class. The leather thing was a sell-out.

On a side note, saw Girlschool; Iron Maiden; and Scorpions together around 1982: Girlschool ruled.

BUMP FROM THE DEAD!

I like Judas Priest a lot. Screaming For Vengeance is a great album; Hellion/Electric Eye is the high point and an all-time favorite. There are some other great tunes in their catalogue ([i]Turbo Lover; Breaking the Law; Painkiller; Hell Patrol, etc)...

but Iron Maiden is fucking awesome. I love those galloping rhythms, dual lead guitars, operatic vocals, and historical themes in the lyrics (or when not historical, I tend to like songs that tell a story, whether it's Maiden or Robert Earl Keen). Oh, and Eddie is a kickass mascot.

this is a stupid comparison. its like people who want to debate SNES vs Genesis.

well if i want to play sonic 2 i choose genesis, if i want to play mario kart i choose snes.

simple.

Can I get just Harris or is it a package deal? Is Ripper part of the Priest selection or exclusively Rob Halford?

Iron Maiden this year (was that last year?) was one of the best shows (top 3 ez) I've seen and they're all senior citizens by now. That being said, vinylbandit speaks my mind.

I'm Krallum and I approved this message.

I've only really listened to two priest albums, one was pretty good, the other bleh but even so I'd say maiden def has the advantage in sheer number of good albums and songs, when halford is on though he's such an awesome vocalist, I'll give them that
