i've NEVER been

well i kinda went once when i worked at woodys. we all got off work and stuck our hands through the fence while drinking beer on the outside so that we could pretend we were cool.

maybe one day!

is a very good time. at least a hundred fifty or so beweries with at least 3+ beers on draft per table. you have a little cup, drink what you want, throw what you don't like in the bucket and move on. I don't go to get drunk as much as I do to sample local/regional beers.

also a lot of great fair-style food and giveaways (pint glasses, t-shirts, coasters, etc.)

worth planning ahead for.

had their 'stop the beer tax' stickers and everything

I went to the second one they did... had a blast



each session has it's advantages. The 1st session has more beer selection (some vendor run out of stuff, and some just flat out leave). The 2nd session is, well, the 2nd session- later in the day, cooler, you feel like you aren't such an alcoholic, and you can leave there and go straight to a bar after it is over (being wasted at 430 in the afternoon isn't conducive to any late night partying)

we went last year to both the Raleigh & Durham one. Had a bunch of fun!
i wish we could go this year.

Unfortunately for all of the night crowd, looks like it's supposed to rain.
