Why the hate for Tim Tebow? It's not his fault that ESPN portrays him as the 2nd coming of Jesus. He seems like a genuinely nice guy that is always the most pumped up guy on the field. I hate hearing about Tebow all the time, but it's not his fault.

^ Just has to do with over exposure. People can only take so much of someone before that person just falls into a category of extremes, where you either love him or hate him there is no longer a middle ground.

If you've already liked an athlete a little bit, or his team, and you start to see him all the time it will push you to start loving the guy. If you've disliked the team a bit or the player, and now you see him all the time it pushes you to the other extreme of hating him.

That is my theory on it, at least with people that really haven't done anything to force people to hate them(like getting arrested, or taking steroids).

I agree with you BrassMonkey. I used to hate the guy. But the guy works his ass off in the gym and you never hear anything bad about him off the field. Don't get me wrong, I can't stand the Gators and I hate how the media is sucking him off as we speak, but the guy can't help it and its smart for him to embrace it as it will help him on draft day next year
