charlotte ardrey kell vs raleigh sanderson on friday night, game 1
game 2 and game 3 (if needed) are saturday.


yeah, its high school baseball but the 4A title is between a school from charlotte and a school from raleigh. i know a lot of you tww'ers may have graduated from either of those schools, and the champ. series is being held on state's campus.

actually ardrey kell (new school mentioned above) has some D1 signees. RHP going to UGA but I believe he was injured in their playoff run and will miss the championship series. they also have a couple other D1 signees. Ardrey Kell got passed Providence (nationally ranked most of season) and Sanderson got passed Greenville Rose (always tough).

should be a good series. i'd give a slight edge to Sanderson because of the injury to AK's ace.

sanderson's top three players are going to wingate, high point, and unc-p.

sanderson went to the eastern finals last year before losing to rose. this year they beat Rose 2 out of 3. they have like 9 seniors and they are peaking at the right time. the coach over there is a young one who has done an amazing job since taking over at sanderson a few years ago.

Ardrey kell has been in the state championship in almost every spring sport this year. sanderson was 1-20 4 years ago and 3-18 3 years ago. They were known as the suck.

Ardrey Kell's coach was formerly the coach at South Meck. He left when the new school opened and alot of the players were transferred. When I played for him we went to the Championship but got crushed by G-Rose (1999). Good to see him get one.

Yea Ardrey Kell has a good program. Bagwell is a pretty darn good coach and their talent is pulling from areas that used to go to either South Meck or Providence high school, the area that usually provides the best baseball talent in Charlotte.
