how can I make a column chart's x-axis interval be less than 1 day. excel automatically sets the major/minor units to days/moths/years - I need hours.... which is not an option....

figured that out finally...

what about column charts ignoring blank cells?? or at least have the chart formatted so that the maximum x-value stops at the last y-point with data?

meh. scatter plots do it, don't see why column charts couldn't
