Yup, have a whole music store here in Hope Mills. Just got in a few boutique amps but also have a Fender double stack with head and everything - like 7 feet high. Insanely LOUD.

However by deposit we mean "Full purchase price" and by rent we mean "no returns unless malfunctioning".

I have a 2-mic silent speaker chamber (http://www.demeteramps.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=33&products_id=48) and use a small locally made tube amp with it.

Needing a big loud amp to play live is a myth.

Ideally, the sound man will mic it and the PA will carry the volume. You don't want the amp louder than the PA.

I'm going to have to agree with dan here. You only need a 2x12 to get good on stage sound (for a guitar that is).

definitely true 99% of the time (and probably applies to this thread's purpose here) but playing our stuff through a 2x12 live is really week compared to 4x12s. Bedroom purposes for me a 2x12 is great and for gigging purposes in other styles its even better, but the 4x12 just destroys a 2x12 in my case.

How much of the sound do you count on coming through the PA vs directly from the cabinet? After hearing the quality difference I don't see why there aren't more speaker chambers like mine, I think you get better quality in a smaller (probably cheaper) package.

while those things are a pretty neat little package, they certainly aren't cheap if you're just comparing them to a 2x12 or 4x12.

thanks a lot haha. Their early stuff was definitely a heavy influence on that record. So while we tried to create our own sound, I never mind that comparison PS we have a month of studio time booked to record a new full length starting this sunday.
