Friend has a 25th anniversary Camaro z28. Really clean coupe. Auto trans. 88k miles.

Here's the issue. There's a very slight & occassional hesitation under mild load when cruising around town. Only between 2,200-2,800 rpms. If you get on the throttle though, it stops. Doesn't matter what gear we're in, symptoms are same. Plugs are good. Rotor/cap (distributor) is good. Injectors are good. I'm going to look into cleaning the MAP sensor with good ol' carb cleaner this weekend to see if that may be it...

It does have a pretuned chip in it (only mod, can't remember the chip type. Thunder/Lighting something?). Could a slightly off tune be the culprit?

I think he said it's been there for a while now, he's just done trying to figure it out. He's had several places look at it a while ago and he's replaced all the mentioned parts since they were old, besides the MAP sensor. The car isn't run hard at all since he's trying to keep it as mint as possible. I'll take paparazzi pictures later if I can get away with it I just met the guy a couple weeks ago (neighbor).

Does the L98 use opti?
