Chop a bolt. Grind the end into a square.

Yeah, I can't find it at any of our big name online vendors. Only one I've found that doesn't ask for a RFQ is

If you're really desperate then I guess you can call these vendors.

yeah, if grainger or wilders doesn't have it or can't get it, it's pretty much not made. as a last resort, you could always get hamiltons to machine you one up out of some brass/steel solid stock...

its a plug for a reason, if it didn't need to fit flush, then it wouldn't be a problem dipshit

[Edited on July 13, 2009 at 8:06 AM. Reason : is it british standard pipe thread or straight metric?]

this is some advanced mechanical stuff we are talking about here, not trying to glue a stripped out drain plug back into an escort GTFO

if it is straight, you can order from the canadian place i posted, or a brass 1/2 plug has a small enough hex head (.375") and enough meat past the thread root to turn down and cut the thread you need on it

your 14 mm plug has a thread od of .5512", and a 1/2 npt plug has a root of .8356

should work, maybe gk2004 can help you out, i'd do it if i was still in ralieghwood, shouldn't take but a few minutes on a lathe
