try looking at the panel near the hinge. Is there a screw near the top?

might be a screw towards the mirror, also the weather stripping inside should clip in to the metal of the door holding the panel in place

I wonder if it's like my cherokee. Have you tried, after popping it out of the door in the necessary areas and removing any screws, just pulling up a bit (wiggling side to side while pulling up) to see if it lets go? I know Jeeps & Acuras are different, but I doubt that there's black magic holding that panel in place.

Post a pic or two so we can see the panel so the more experienced minds can tell you what you're doing wrong.

Lift straight up on it. Make sure that you removed the interior screws for the door release.

yeah i got it. there was a plastic cap covering up a couple screws behind the handle. the rest of the panel popped off after i lifted it up, gave it a lil force.

it's a 93 4 door.

got the window in. easier than it was looking.
