Never removed the rear hub before. I have to replace some lug bolts and the need to be pressed from the back. I've got the rear brakes covers off but that's as far as i've gotten. I don't see and type of collar ring locking it in place. It looks like it just slides into the axle. i also need to remove the wheel cylinder. any advice would be appreciated.

These trucks run an 8.8 ford axle? no?

if so, you're going to have to pull the diff cover, remover the center pin from the carrier, and remove the c-clips from the end of the axleshaft you are trying to remove.

just beat them out with a hammer and pull them back in with an old open style lugnut

^what he said... add a small stack of greased flat washers and grease the threads on the stud to make things a bit easier
