I'm thinking of canceling my internet services at home and just moving over completely to a smart phone.
Currently I pay 54$ a month for internet and 37$ for basic cell phone (no texting, 400 min a month...).
If my only basic interenet needs are email and google maps (the rest I can get at work), would this be a smart decision? Could I get a decent plan for less than what I'm paying now? Any recommendations on phones? 7/30/2009 11:23:05 AM |

I do this, my cell phone bill is $100 a month with Verizon using a BB Curve. 400 anytime minutes, unlimited night/weekend, unlimited in network calling, unlimited texts/data plan, and tethering to my laptop with a 5gig data limit. This is more than I have ever used. Usually my monthly tethering usage is around 2 gigs. Thats browsing the internet, email, and watching videos on you tube. Speed is good with Verizon, and love the fact that I can use my laptop ANYWHERE. The only draw back is the upload speed. Its slow, but not painfully slow. I have uploaded 10 minute videos to you tube and worked in the background. Usually I just save the uploading and downloading music for when I am at work.8/1/2009 11:03:57 AM |
