Wanted to rent a canoe for August 15th. Anyone got one they're willing to rent to me for a day? Also would like it if it included two life jackets and paddles.

I was going to just rent from Outdoor Adventures at the gym, but they're closed on August 15th.

Need it for my 4th anniversary. My wife has never been canoeing and I wanted to take her down the Neuse river for the experience. Plus a nice romantic picnic. Didn't want to do anything too extravagant... just nice and simple.

i've got a 14' flatwater canoe that would be fine for this. i've got paddles and life jackets.

not sure what you're looking to pay. i'd need some kind of deposit just to cover my ass. PM me if you're interested.

btw, you can buy one on craigslist for less than $300.

[Edited on August 4, 2009 at 11:18 AM. Reason : i gave $200 for mine. forgot to mention that i've got the removable padded seats w/ back rests]

Not sure if I'd want to own one again. I did a few years ago, but sold it due to storage space and not really using it that much.

How much would you want? Is $50 + deposit for one day a fair price? I won't even have it for a full day. What amount of deposit would you need?

I have one (either 14 or 15 feet) that has built in cup holders and a small cooler, along with dry storage incase you get crazy. Paddles and life jackets too.

Read the original post... they're not open on August 15th. My buddies and I used to raid that place back in the day. Emptied them of all their inventory when spring/fall break rolled around. Then a few years ago, they started placing restrictions on how many things you could rent out at a time. LOL...

BTW, I'm all set. Thanks folks!
