in brazil?

didn't see a thread on this I know its old but obama just gave 2 billlion dollars to something he is completely against to a foreign company that happens to be one of the most profitable companies in the world.

turns out one of his major campaign contributors is in deep with this company and obama's simply "returning a favor". thats good to know.

I could see him owning a stake for a long time and getting a favor, thats shady too, but it seems like he just took a recent stake in the company right before this loan was made, and that is beyond shady.

Wait, wtf is going on here, just the day before, bloomberg had this item saying he CUT his stake

O, I, C, it looks like he sold common for preferred, probably to cash in on a fat dividend or something. My guess is Petrobras is going to pay out a dividend which would ordinarily cut into cash, except in this case they are getting a loan to cover the gap. Talk about a transfer of wealth.

I completely disagree with this but it is nothing different than what would be gonig on if McPalin were on office. Hell, half of the ANWR would probably be bulldozed for oil rigs by now.

Though I think she has the "few days" part off. I think Soros repositioned a couple months ago and to think a deal like this happened in a few days is silly.

I didn't put much stock in the OP thinking it was just conspiratorial BS stirred up on right wing blogs. Then I went and did the googling myself and, it's pretty unmistakable that Soros was up to something.
