The old thread is 4 years old.

I fucked up my knee and need to see an orthopedist for it. I've called Raleigh Orthopedic and they said that they do not take Tricare (my insurance), so they are out of the question.

I've called Cary Ortho and Triangle Ortho (in Durham) and they both may be able to take my insurance. Any other suggestions

This guy did an outstanding job repairing a shattered elbow. He used to be at a practice called Raleigh Sports Medicine (i think that was the name of it) but it looks like he's started his own practice. highly recommended:

Oh good, you can Google blindly.

I'm looking for feedback from previous experiences.

I have gone to Cary Orthopedics for fractured bones in my feet. I had a good experience with Cary Ortho -- everyone is very friendly and they definitely took good care of me, but they can sometimes be extremely busy. Garner Orthopedics is the same group. I've only talked to the Garner office on the phone -- they're very helpful and tend to be less booked than the Cary office.

try Duke orthopedics. http://www.dukehealth.org

I have had both of my knee surgeries through them and they were done at Durham Regional Hospital. Nothing but positives.
