Some of this may seem noobish, please excuse me for it.

99 Sentra GXE with 140k

I just replaced the front brake pads and turned the rotors this morning. I didn't have time to test them much, other than to see that they were working. They seemed fine, so I drove back from my dads house outside winston to my house in Raleigh. After driving for a bit(and turning the stereo down), I could hear a scraping sort of sound from the front passenger wheel. It is a rythmic on-off, as if the rotor were warped, but it is freshly turned and there is no pulsation in the pedal. This brake is also getting hotter than the other side. The brakes stop smoothly and don't pull to one side. Noting really "feels" wrong, but the sound is new and I know by the heat that there is friction somewhere where there shouldn't be. Any idea what I fucked up based on the sound? I'd just tear into it, but I have no tools here...

Terrible audio, but the noise is similar to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=st0NMQ24Ebw&feature=related

What is this dust shield they speak of in the comments section? I bent no such thing, so maybe that's my problem, but it's only one side. I'm fucking dumb at cars.

Meanwhile, my tire blew out on 40. Good day.

There is a thin metal 'shield' behind the rotor. This sometime bends a slight amount and can cause terrible noises. The fix is about 3 seconds of work. Push it away from the rotor.

Big metal piece that would sit behind the rotor:

either that or the caliper is loose rubbing the inside of the wheel, the dust sheild will be a very high pitched like nails on a chalkboard screech
