We've seen all your ramblings in the sports betting thread, now is time to put your money where your mouth is. I am inviting nine of my cohorts here to a weekly challenge of picking ATS both college and pro games. Only nine of you, because I want to keep it localized here, without using an outside site, and because I want to screen candidates so Joe Blow Retard who just signed up last week doesn't fuck up the flow of the thread.

It will work as follows:

1. Every Tuesday or Wednesday, I will pick the Monday Night and Sunday Night games, as well as the biggest few college and games and biggest few pro games of the week. This will total seven games.

2. I will give the point spread on the games. It is the average spread of five significant sports books. This spread is non-negotiable. Points cannot be bought. Even if the spread changes several points before kickoff, we will play with the spreads I gave.

3. All college picks must be in by noon Saturday. All pro picks must be in on noon Sunday. The MNF game is the exception, and must be made before 5:00 Monday.

4. Thursday Night college games may be used on occasion, only when the game is between two good teams. This week it is not, so it is not. On these days, the pick must be in before 7:00 Thursday, or you will incur an automatic loss for that pick. I will do my best to notify all participants when I make this game part of the lineup.

5. You get three wild card games every week. These are games that you pick from the remaining college and pro games. Your three selections must include at least one college and at least one pro game. These can be point spreads OR over/unders. No money lines. Lines are on an honor system...I might check, I might not, but I generally have a pretty good idea of what the lines are for all games...if I find out you're trying to fuck me, you're out of the challenge.


Please post here if you're interested...I know most of you, and there's a lot of you I don't like. That won't factor in for the challenge. I just want people who are knowledgeable, literate, and post frequently. This isn't first come first serve, its the first nine people who qualify. Don't list reasons why you should be included; your posting history speaks for itself. Simply state your interest, and I will announce the final field by Thursday.

DO NOT make your picks until I have announced the final field.
