The winning pieces for the big prizes only go to the friends of the upper management.

There's always one rare piece to any property block. I might inadvertently go to McDonalds and get a winning piece and have no way of knowing. Someone should post a list of the rare ones here.

I remember when I was about 10 years old this high schooler told me she had Pennsylvania Avenue. I got real excited when she told me I could have it (and I think it used to win like $300000). She "lost" it and I was real mad...McDonalds Monopoly was serious business. Didn't click in my head until a couple years later that she never actually had the piece.

back in high school, there was a mcdonalds ad in the local paper with a game piece on each ad... one in each paper.

a friend and i went to every paper machine in town, and filled my trunk up with "fuquay-varina independents"

we got lots of crap food but no prizes. if you cant win by cheating, you'll never win by really buying that crap

^^^we did something similar...heard about which Sunday was gonna run the game pieces...stole about 4 or 5 streets' papers right after the paper guy delivered them...also hit up a few machines

probably got like 400 newspapers...we all had tons of free burgers and fries and drinks a week or so later at spring break

no special prizes though...just food items...and no rare pieces like boardwalk either...just food

But with the taxes and everything, he only made about 1500 profit by selling it

still better than free nuggets, I guess

my guess is he got actually got park place

if he did get boardwalk, he'd be a lot better off to just buy a bunch of food and get his own park place than to split it with someone. the park place pieces are plentiful.

or right down the street at lake boone. or the other way on glenwood..

they got me good today, i was hungry and don't have any food in the house, so i thought i'd go play.

wtf though, regular drinks have pieces, large drinks don't, a fucking filet-o-fish does but a QPC and double QPC don't? how shitty must those FoFs be to try to make you order those instead of a $3-4 burger.

The game is retarded.

It says the odds of winning are one in 542,034,000. However, that just means there is one printed in 542,034,000. The odds of that cup finding its way to someone knowledgeable enough to know that piece is rare AND actually gives a shit about the contest raises the odds to "you're better off assassinating the president and becoming the new president because everyone is so happy you killed the president"

...yeh i don't know where that came from either

So I see that you can enter some code online to play. Does it track the ones you have so I don't have to keep up with these things?

"In 2000, the US promotion was halted after fraud was uncovered. A subcontracting company called Simon Marketing (a then-subsidiary of Cyrk), which was hired by McDonald's to organize and promote the game, failed to recognize a flaw in its procedures, and the chief of security, Jerome P. Jacobson,[1] was able to remove the "most expensive" game pieces, which he then passed to associates who would redeem them and share the proceeds.

...

In 1995, St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee received an anonymous letter postmarked Dallas, Texas, containing a $1 million winning game piece. Although game rules prohibited the transfer of prizes, McDonald's waived the rule and is making the $50,000 annual payments.[4] Investigations later indicated, and Jacobson himself admitted, that he had sent the winning piece to the hospital.[5]"

wow, what a crazy story

and I would rather get a lump sum, with taxes taken out than the $50,000 a year for 20 years crap. Maybe if they did 100,000/year for 10 years that would be better.

I WANNA LIVE COMFORTABLY OFF OF MY BIG MAC BOARDWALK PIECE DAMMIT

^^ I remember when that happened. Glad it happened but its so true with all these promotions that the "associates" do what they do.

I dont eat at McDs. So you all have fun with this. I dont play the lottery either but I know my chances with it are better.

And whomever said on the NSA bit, Im suprised we dont have them, the FBI, and the CIA on here some days.
