so I used to dabble in online poker and sports betting, but when they passed those new laws it got very difficult to transfer money in/out. Then, it became easier to transfer money but i got a job where it is very important the i'm not out constantly breaking the law. However, I am would love to get back into it if possible.

I was talking to a friend recently who said they have modified the laws to relax the regulations on online betting, but i was unable to find proof through online searches. Does anyone know the current legal status of betting online?

I live in FL, if that matters

from what i understand, as long as you are not an institution funding the online gambling, you are in the clear. It is against the law to fund online pokering. it's not against the law to play poker online/ bet online.

According to 60 minutes, it is illegal to bet money online in the US. However, it is very difficult to enforce this law because all of the online gambling sites are based out of other countries (out of the jurisdiction of US law enforcement). The link to the segment is below.

on this same note...Based on personal experiences, what are some reputable sites for sports betting, in terms of actually paying out in a timely manner when you win/cash out?

I've always used European books over exotic books because of their history and legality

I also had a loophole working for a few months where they were translating my dollars to euros, but not transfering the euros back to dollars when I cashed out, so I was getting like 50 percent extra on my returns, but they fixed that glitch before too long
