I have one left for next semester. I'll also be taking CSC 492, HI 438, and HI 491 (I'm a history major too). What do you reccommend? I've already taken EC 302 (liked) and EC 301 (didn't like). I'm thinking about taking CSC 405 - Computer Security, though a business class might be interesting too.

Courses I enjoyed:
CSC 411 - Artificial Intelligence CSC 413 - E-Commerce Techonlogy (I liked the second half of the class the most) CSC/ECE 463 - Advanced Mircoprocessor Design (If you're just CSC, you might not have the prereqs)
Courses I have heard good things about:
CSC 405 - Security CSC 422 - Data Mining (especially true if Dr. Doyle is teaching it) CSC 416 - Combinatorics 10/20/2009 1:57:54 PM |

I'll introduce my bias and say, if you don't have the knowledge of the topics in CSC405, you need to take the course or acquire the knowledge in some manner.
What CSC courses have you taken thus far for your CSC restricted electives? What are your interests in? That will help choose a good restricted elective moreso than anything else. 10/20/2009 9:06:03 PM |
