paid the ticket, but NC said I had a failure to appear, even though I didn't, and they never cleared that from the system.
so I'm driving home last night and my headlight apparently burnt out. Get stopped. Po-Po takes my license and says it was suspended >.<

^^ you don't know what the hell you are talking about. The fucking NC DMV didn't do their fucking job and say that I showed up for court, you dumbass. If their employee had entered that into the computer system like he was supposed to, then none of this happens.

I took responsibility for speeding, and I paid the ticket. The DMV didn't do their job and now I'm on the hook for it.

^4 All of this that has occurred is a recourse for your speeding. Is it typical, no. Would it have happened had you not sped, no. You sped, you got caught, and now you're dealing with all the bullshit that came with it. Making a thread about it so that you can cry out loud and stand on your soap box is the true indicator of your character.

There are a lot of speed limit laws out there that are bullshit, and if my grandma was on her death bed I would speed to go see her too, but if I got busted for it I, personally, would man up realize that I brought all of this on myself by speeding and would likely write all of it off as being well worth it if it led to me seeing my grandma one last time.

He obviously should have gotten a job with the DMV to be certain that the people there know what they are doing. Furthermore, TWW is for bitching and sharing experiences.
