anyone had Bobko or Hassan for CE313???

....also, would anybody recommend a decent prof for st370? I'm really cloudy in stats from high school...

i had hassan teach one lecture of my 313 class, and he was really good.

similarly, i had arroway sub a lecture of my st370, and she was really good. and i found her rather pretty for a professor. i have on idea if she's teaching it next semester though.

had hassan for 313. he is good, entertaining, enthusiastic. his test were tough, but nothing too bad. I'd recommend him

I had arroway for st 370, she was good, easy, etc. though ST 370 is easy and HS stats don't mean shit to it (it was my first stats class ever) and I've never heard of a bad/really hard ST 370 instructor (though there may be one...)

342 - Dr. Roy Borden or Gabr
332 - Dr. Kim
305 - Bob Foyle (you might fall asleep but he's easy)
325 - Dr. Matzen
327 - Kevin Wilkins (He's the man)
375 - Zeckman (if she's still there)
382 - Kumar/Overton (I had the black guy, he wasn't good)

435 - Dr. Gabr or Borden
440 - Dr. Borden or Wahls
443 - Dr. Gabr

503 - Dr. Hummer


I was a geotech so there are lots of soil classes there.

OH HELL NO. Nice guy, but a horrible teacher. Come on Al, none of us did great in there! Of course, if the only other option is NOT Williams, then take Foyle.

Overton is tough as hell, tests will make you cry, but you'll learn your stuff.

Kumar is easier, but you don't learn nearly as much/as well (if you don't care about hydraulics/won't use it/not in water resources track/don't care about it on the FE, he'd be fine)

Ducoste is another - tough, not the best teacher in this class and won't get as much as compared to Overton. He also teaches the intro to environmental course - he makes it tough, but he's pretty good with the material; I really enjoyed the environmental course and ended up getting an A+

by far, the toughest teacher out of the bunch in the list ^^ is borden.


Goes over the conceptual parts but expects you to learn the material yourself. He doesn't spoon feed you the answer like most teachers.

I agree. If you get to know him on a personal level though (go to office hours) and express some interest in what's going on in class, he'll help you out with grades.
