i just like the way he tells a story, if anyone else told it (like me) it would be a shitty story

Louis CK is the same thing

Was out in LA a few weeks ago and he showed up at the LA Improv to do a set, I guess they said he shows up there often randomly. We were there just watching some randoms on a Wednesday.

It was a terrible set, hard to even watch. He rambled on for about 20 minutes about a snow globe key chain? If that is what he is bringing to the table on Nov. 8th... going to be some disappointed people and I'm guessing the tickets aren't cheap.

when will people realize that this guy is not funny

he'll have 3 really funny moments during an hour show, and the rest is garbage

but you leave remembering those 3 funny moments

His style of comedy does not appeal to me. Little too predictable imo

My bosses and older co-workers love him though.

my old roommates when I lived in NYC loved Dane Cook, and for the life of them they could not believe that I didn't think he was funny.

Some people just don't get it.

eh I think he is funny enough. Not going to pay 30 - 40 bucks to see him live, but he is humorous.

yep yep def a waste of $30 bucks. I could have just watched a couple of his old dvd's (or Louis CK RAWR RAWR RAWR) to hear about 75% of the same jokes.

it's like he is fucking the real dane cook fans and just making money off the idiots who are like hey i saw "employee of the month" and that was funny why not check out his stand up....

eh it was ok... got a few laughs. had fun watching the only black guy's reaction to the one black joke dane said. and the reading of the hate mail that dane got from anonymous@yahoo.com, i was one of the few that laughed at that before he said what he wrote back, all the people around me took it like it was a serious personal attack not some troll trying to get a reaction.

I don't hate on Jeff Dunham, I just don't find his routine funny. I watched his entire special and did not laugh. I almost feel like it's supposed to be "family-oriented" or something. Dane Cook definitely has had some funny moments, but these days it's just seeming like the same old routine.

Jeff Dunham wasn't funny when I watched him on SAST.

Kudos to him for making a shit-ton of money doing ventriloquism in arenas, though.

Jeff Dunham is a to-each-his-own type deal. Definitely not my cup of tea.

Dane Cook is moderately good-lookng, which automatically makes his comedy suspect. And, sure, he's an animated story teller, but a lot of people are great story tellers.

However, after a full car of people bashed him for five minutes, I mentioned the "I just wanna dance!" bit, and we all agreed that we liked it. But that's about all we were willing to admit to enjoying.

moderately good looking?

if you're going to say shit, you might as well be accurate

certainly his look is like 50% of his appeal

you think girls even really "get" comedy?

That's not hating. It's just a statement about my reaction to his stand up. Some people find Jeff Dunnham funny, and I'm happy for those people. I just can't see the humor in it, personally.
