In other words, our profit margins for this product, targeted towards small business customers, sucked. They were costing us too much in development / support / etc. without bringing in enough revenue. Our medium to large-sized customers we have determined produce the necessary margins, and therefore will have a new product we can upsell them to AND offer migration to via our services / consulting division if they are presently using Microsoft Accounting.
*Note, I'm not hating on Microsoft specifically, happens all the time when large software companies choose to withdraw the product from sales / marketing (EOM) and then eventually cease standard AND extended support (EOS).10/31/2009 8:57:34 AM |
