I have two articles by the same author from the same year. I'm not sure how to appropriately differentiate between the two.

(author, "article1," year)? or
(author, "article2," year)?

All my other citations are either (author, year) or ("article," year), depending on whether the article has a specific author.

I wasn't sure if I should just omit the author's name, but I wanted to check to see if anyone here knew for sure.

Thanks.
