Prices range from $40 for a basic box and go to $300+ for crazy FG work. The box above in FG was $200. A local shop here in raleigh quoted the customer $600 for the exact same box.

Are those 2 Ohm of 4 Ohm voice coils on the Type R 12s? Are they wired separately or together?

Type-Rs are dual 4 ohm, wired individually, but that can be changed easily by pulling the subs, or jumping the terminals at the box.

1) How old are they?
2) Did you make that box for them?
3) They are 25-500hz right?
4) 50-500W rms correct? and they still hit pretty hard?

The box for the 8'' sub is 8x8x12''

The 6.5'' subs would need to be used as a pair.
Because they are going right beside you, and require minimal airspace, you can actually put a ported box in the area you have. 10x10x10, .5'' mdf, port .75x3x7.75, tuned to 40hz
There could be little port noise at full volume, but with your constraints I wouldn't worry about it.
