I wonder this too. And I wonder if we will ever find out what happened. Found guilty doesn't mean you are guilty and found innocent doesn't mean you are innocent. It is not what you know, but what you can show.

So does that mean such juducial systems (trial by jury) are flawed? Is it the best system out there, even though it leads to some false positives and false negatives?

Maybe Definitely after she is released from jail, she will write a book explaining the events of that day.

click the cnn link and look at that evidence box in the middle of the page to see the evidence against her, and POVs of the prosecution and defense regarding each piece of defense.

i don't know if she is guilty or not, but i would put my money on she is. she is DEFINITELY a liar one way or another (she accused someone who was found innocent, kept changing her testimony in opposite directions, etc). but, there is always that chance that she isn't... in which case, she is not telling the full story for some reason only known to here.

saw on tv that there are 2 mandatory appeals in such cases, and in most such cases, the sentence is significantly reduced upon appeal.

so seems like the 26 years will be reduced to 10 years and she will be out after 7 with good behaviour.

and then she writes her book, which i am already looking forward to.
