I tried their website with no luck and saw a post online saying it was closed.
I don't live near Glenwood any more... is this gem still open?
Anyone know their web site? Phone number still goes to an answering machine for them at least. 12/7/2009 9:17:58 AM |

It's not open anymore. The Globe (http://www.globeraleigh.com/) is just down Glenwood and is owned/operated by the guys that used to own/run/cook at Bistro 607. My older brother being one of them. 12/7/2009 10:57:54 AM |

ahh.... I LOVED the Bistro when I lived closer to downtown. Hate to hear that. It was a recommendation for my boss today.
Why the change from the Bistro to The Globe? 12/7/2009 11:04:16 AM |

The co-owners of Bistro decided to each start their own place. There were no bad feelings or anything, just a desire to do something new.
Jean-Paul moved up to Oberlin/Fairview and started up EVOO (now closed). Heath, Gray, and Henry went down Glenwood a block or so and started Globe.
Globe's good. Get the burger if nothing else on the menu strikes your fancy. It's ground in the kitchen, so you can get it cooked however you want. 12/7/2009 11:25:47 AM |

The place where Bistro 607 was is now Tasca Brava and Globe is a block down next to Bogarts/Red room/Hi5. 12/7/2009 1:03:26 PM |
