Yanks deal Melky to Braves for ace Vazquez
This is a great deal for the Yanks (even though he has pitched alot of innings) cause Melky although talented is lazy as shit..... 12/22/2009 9:55:54 PM |

Hey, by my username I guess you can tell I'm a Sox fan, but I had a question for some Yanks fans on this trade. Trading Melky opens up an OF spot for Damon/Holliday/Bay or someone, but how do you guys really feel about Vazquez? He performed well below expectations the first time the Yanks got him and he is coming off a career year in the NL, in a relatively weak hitting division with the Mets/Nats/Marlins all lumped in there. I think the best thing this does for them is he likely will eat more innings than someone like Mitre, and will effectively take more of a load off of Mo and the front of the rotation guys like CC. 12/22/2009 10:38:26 PM |

^ Yo Ernie.... that's Mr greasy wop dago to you ...capish :-)
I am concerned about the total innings he has pitched over the last 3 years I have to admit, but I think with our pitching staff we can limit his innings, and if he keeps his era low I look for him to get 15 to 17 wins for us in 2010. 1/1/2010 10:14:02 AM |

This is all good....
"The first time out, I felt good,'' Sabathia said. "My body feels good. I just worked getting off the mound.''
The left-hander, 19-8 with a 3.37 ERA in 34 starts last season, will make his first spring training start on March 3 or 4.
"It's good to see him up there,'' Yankees manager Joe Girardi said. 2/22/2010 11:02:45 AM |
