benXJ has done my yard a couple of times. I'd recommend talking to him. It comes out better for me just to pay him to do it in 1-2 hours with his commercial grade equipment than for me to pay $10 an hour for someone to spend all day raking it.

I don't know about bagging it though. I just get him to pile it at the street. The city does 2-3 curbside pickups this time of year. They just did the first sweep through my neighborhood.

Yea I've had leaves out on the curb for 3 weeks now. They did an initial pickup but haven't since. The street is getting full!

Any ideas on leaf disposal once bagged? I know the dump takes them, but doesn't that cost mula?

If you're in Raleigh the city will pick up 15 bags per week as long as they're in clear bags. They won't pick it up if you use non-clear bags.

They will also pick up 15 from in front of your house and 45 more in front of all your neighbors' houses.

There is a map on the City of Raleigh yard waste site that shows roughly when they'll be going through each area with the leaf vac iirc. It'll probably be after New Year's though.

If it's in paper, I'll just throw those in, too

In plastic...well, I'll deal with them.
