-people that block a right turn lane when there's nobody in the other straight lanes.
-people who stop at railroad tracks when there's not a train coming obviously
-people who are lost and don't believe the "lane ends in 500 ft" sign and have to emergency merge out in the middle of the intersection..

^ Western Blvd. is the worst for that. I can't tell you how many times I've seen people driving 15-35 MPH with their turn signal on only to run out of room and just stop at the end of the entrance ramp.

Ha. I even see people do that when the cop is traveling down the opposite side of a divided highway.

Sometimes I even get mad at the cop. The cop knows that people are going to be scared to pass and that their presence deters the flow of traffic. So cop, how about doing us all a favor and stay off the highway during commuting hours.

There's really only two things that get to me:
1) People that go slow in the left lane. I know they do it with a great sense of smugness, knowing that they're in complete control while thinking "no one should be driving 56mph because the speed limit is 55."

2) There have been signs on the highway that say right lane ends for the last 2 miles. Then there are the people that won't merge over until their front bumper starts rubbing cones just so they can get ahead of the pack. They're the cause of the backup. Everyone would move along a lot better if people would just merge in when they first start seeing the signs. Kudos to the truckers that ride down the middle of two lanes so they can block these dregs of humanity. Traffic always seems to move along much quicker once a trucker gets involved in running interference.

That, IMHO, is moot. You will still get stopped and have to wait 30 minutes for the cop to write you a ticket for 5 over. I would rather not get stopped, therefore, I do not pass LEO's.


CLARIFICATION: I will pass them if they are in a line of traffic exiting an intersection, etc. But if he is just cruising about 5 under or right at the speed limit, I will only pass him if i can do so without speeding whatsoever.

I got pulled for it. Cop was going the speed limit or 5 over on I40 with a train of people behind him. I slowly pass him. Right before I get to exit 295 he pulls me over and says he clocked me going 71. Speed limit is 65. I made the case that my girlfriend has to pee really bad and he took my info and went back to his car. Comes back a minute or two later and tells me to slow down and lets me go.

I'll still pass them anyway.
