For what they are, they suck.
Pretty much all they have going for them are looks.

^it's expensive as hell to maintain. It's build quality is pretty crappy. They're still not cheap (I'd guess around $70-80k). And they're not THAT fast (0-60 in mid 5s).
They are pretty to look at though. 12/22/2009 10:37:16 AM |

I'd totally rock a 328 (or its older brother the 308, or semi-supercar derivative GTO). But to my eye it's the last "classic" Ferrari before 80's styling came to town in the form of the Testarossa and 348. As much as I like the Testarossa, those do kind of have a "poser" look to them nowadays. 12/22/2009 5:05:49 PM |

I personally wouldn't settle for the 348. I'd man up and just get a 355. But, considering my options, if I even had that kind of money to spend, it would be spent elsewhere ATM. 12/22/2009 7:09:43 PM |

I think you look like a wannabe Ferrari owner with an 80s or 90s Ferrari, at least anything pre 360 Modena. they're dated but they're not classic. 12/23/2009 3:38:51 PM |

I would totally rock a Testarossa. Hot and unique, inside and out, even among other Ferraris.
Modern Ferraris are just cock-enhancements for the super-rich. 80s Ferraris might not be the prettiest, but I bet their owners appreciate them a whole lot more. 12/23/2009 10:14:56 PM |

I've always had a thing for '80s vehicles. I think there's something special about them. Maybe that 348 looks dated, but to me, it looks "mature." It's clean looking imo. Very simple.
FWIW, my buddy really loves his 348. It's one thing to own one. He actually will work on his, so I guess there's that bond that most Ferrari and other modern day exotic owners never have with their vehicles. It's all fun screwing a whore, but it's when you start taking care of her needs that things become intimate and a bond of appreciation forms.
Or I could be totally wrong.

I'm not saying I don't like them. I'm saying they're not typically owned by respectable gear-heads.12/24/2009 11:53:41 PM |

All types of capable cars are owned by douche nozzles. What do you think the % of "gear heads" to your garden variety asshat make up the owners of say a Corvette, or a Lotus. Even consider something far more pedestrian like a 350z... No, "capable" cars appeal to dilweeds because of their image. Cars like new Ferraris will inevitably go to those that obviously have the means to be more obnoxious.
BTW, some of those 80s Ferraris are both horrible looking and under performing while being over priced... Please don't defend them for the sake of humanity. Ugh. 12/25/2009 12:48:27 PM |

Fuck that, I'd rock a F355 faster than you just read this sentence. Love that car, moreso than a 360.
btw on google image search the 7th car to come up as a search result for ferrari f355 is a Lotus Esprit V8 TT

^ Agreed... the F355 is definitely one of the hottest Ferraris ever. 360 Modena is ugly if you ask me. F430 is hot, but still not as hot as the F355. 458 Italia is also hot, but in a different way from the F355.
The shape/body type of the F355 is just something else... gorgeous. (very different from the 360/F430/458) 12/28/2009 3:36:23 PM |

from some angles the 355 reminds me too much of an 850i or a 1st gen 3000GT--even though the Ferrari styling mostly came first 12/28/2009 8:59:16 PM |
