Contract expires in May; I am trying to convert it to a month-to-month plan this month (they changed a fee which gives me a way out of my contract, but I don't want to discontinue service on the line. Mileage varies on getting a contract converted month-to-month, as opposed to stricly discontinued. This is something I will handle and resolve completely before turning the line over to you). New upgrade discount ($150) in March (with contract renewal, of course).

These go for $70+ on ebay; for TWW, I'd like to sell it for $50 (and if you want, you can buy my samsung rant for ~$15).

Plan is $30/mo base:
500 anytime minutes; overages are tiered: $5/30 minutes
unlimited nights and weekends; "night" starts at 7pm
unlimited web, texting, and picturemail
frree mobile-to-mobile

You would need to meet me at a sprint store to sign the paperwork assuming your responsibility of the contract.

wait people buy SERO plans on ebay?

By the way Sprint is phasing out SERO plans (for real this time) so be prepared to fight hard to try and renew it...I think they are offering $20/month off an everything plan for two years to transition people over from SERO.

Huh, didnt know you could do this. I'll keep it in mind. I'm on a SERO plan but my parents were thinking of letting me join their plan, so they'd be paying that bill.

No. Sprint mobile to mobile.
I mean, google voice pretty much eliminates the benefits of M2M, but w/e

Dude, yeah. The same plan is now $70/mo base.

As far as the phasing out...IDK. Good to know.

...I don't know what mobile anytime is, but there are some smartphones that aren't compatible with a SERO plan (e.g., the android phones, the palm pre, to name a few)

Yeah if you get any of the cool phones they make you switch to a current everything plan. (fair enough since they subsidize some of those phones like $300)

They are not. That's why I'm getting rid of it: I want the moment; being added to my husband's plan.

Don't forget to mention 'unlimited' digital roaming both voice and data on any other domestic network. And fwiw, I don't think you even have to go to a store to do a transfer of liability.

YMMV, but a lot of people have had luck converting this to voice and getting free - cheap BIS added.

I just bought a new phone on SERO, reupped my contract for another 2 years. If you already have one, they're not going to take it from you.

still waiting to try to convert to month-to-month - I expect to call in tomorrow.

I'll sell it for $35...I'm too lazy to make up a listing that'll get it sold on ebay, and a little too ethical to blatantly copy and paste the more effective listings

Yes, this is nice. Especially on road trips and during the holidays

You don't. And this is another part of why I don't want to deal with ebay: I'd rather do this in person. I just prefer face-to-face interactions on this type of thing.

I'm also open to barter.

If I have my own blackberry tour can this plan be used on it (with BIS, not 3rd partying' around everything.) If you can get that verified with sprint I'll bite.

There is definitely a way to add BIS for $10.00 to this plan. Apparently you no longer have to change to SERO Voice Only for BIS either. YMMV

Again, someone has to work for sprint that can straighten this out. I now have a 8330 from Sprint. If you can get that hooked up with BIS/unlimitedText/500 mins I'll buy it this weekend in Raleigh at the Sprint store to get it hooked up. I'll even do the $15 or whatever to have Sprint TV Premiere put on it.

The only BB that won't work on the old $30 SERO plan + $10 BIS add-on is the new Curve 8530. And I work for Sprint if anyone wants to dispute it

Whoever bought this for $50 is a dumbass, because I got this for $30-$5off code a month.. so $25 a month.. for $50 a month you could get totally unlimited everything from some smaller carriers.

^hmm.... just to hold you over, eh? Why not find a PC6800 or something cheap on craigslist. It's only a few months and they're great phones packing Rev.A for your tethering needs.

I had a 6800 and I could never go back. I'm gonna recycle my Mogul and TP for a 112 credit.

Maybe I'll just dig up an old clamshell and "rough it".

a $40 6800 is worse than an old 'clam shell'? You've got to be kidding... it did have crappy battery life and an antiquated interface, but 90% of the use it got from me was tethered to my laptop anyway...

Oh no, I'm saying I have a 6800. I can only use the earpiece to talk to people, but I have a second "Free Add A Phone" line with unlimited data that I could use for tethering.

I meant after using the Touch Pro, going back to a Mogul would just piss me off and I would just as well get a rant or dig up an old clamshell camera phone you know? My brother is actually using the free line right now with a rant -- I could be a dickface and ESN swap on him I guess.

How much does a used Curve go for? Mainly I just want something different as I'm tired of flashing/lagging/rebooting winmo 6.5 roms.

^if you pay more than $80 you're crazy. But if you're on SERO you'll need the $10 upgrade for BIS.

I got my 8800 for $85 with a case.

Thinking about dropping my SERO if I can get 23% USAA discount applied. I'm playing with an 8830 for a week to see how I like it.

I'm not entirely sure to be honest and with sprint, it's technically supposed to be 5% for members, but the rep listed me as an employee.

The only reason it wasn't applied was that SERO is already too heavily discounted to accept (well, without some sort of override) discounts or promotions.

USAA has member benefits all over the place, it's worth looking into.

then they have changed it, because the default used to be 23%, and it's what I had, and have now.

Somehow, that 23% got added to my sero plan

If there's another SERO 500 plan available with an 8830 I'm interested. Turns out we get great service 90% of the area's we're working in and unlimited data is the only way to go
