Flying to Dallas but the flights are $100 cheaper to fly to Austin, then get off the plane on the layover in Dallas. This is alright, right? They won't like track you down and lay the smackdown? There's nothing saying you HAVE to continue on your connecting flight? 1/11/2010 7:07:22 PM |

You'll get blacklisted from that airline
If you can live with that, go for it 1/11/2010 7:15:05 PM |

I wouldn't fuck around with the airlines right now
and for the record, all the 9/11 flights were domestic

^^i highly doubt it. I'm sure you can just go to the desk and be like, "i decided to stay here instead."
Plus in situations where people miss thier layovers, and get scheduled a new flight it's not a big deal. I'm sure people decide to leave and get a new flight all the time.
V yeah i thought so. It's just one way.

if you have a round trip, the other half of your trip won't be honored 1/11/2010 7:46:39 PM |

Yeah going to Dallas to drive back to NC with a friend of mine, so it's a one way. Found a $113 ticket to Austin, layover in Dallas. Whereas on the same airline it's like $250 straight to Dallas. So i'll just get off in Dallas. Weird. 1/11/2010 9:12:53 PM |

Nothing will happen. People do this all the time. However, this doesn't work on a round trip ticket because they cancel your ticket so you're kind of screwed on the way back.
nvm someone else covered it.

Everytime I fly to Orlando, it's at least $100 cheaper to fly out of Raleigh with a layover in Charlotte than it is to fly directly from Charlotte.
It's fucking stupid. It won't be long until the airlines look to the government for a bank-style bailout. This is the dumb shit that taxpayers have to subsidize. 1/12/2010 1:40:26 AM |
