are you saying that just to say that?

or do you actually mean that there's no place for him in the starting lineup next season?

are you basing this solely on the fact that he was a 1-star recruit?

i mean, don't you see him giving it 110% out there???

that alone earns him some consideration for the starting lineup

If we were in the Atlantic Sun he could start. Unfortunately he shouldn't really be seeing the court in the Atlantic Coast.

I guess at NC State, though, trying is better than actually having talent.

^^^ no nothing to do with his star merely his play he does give 110 percent and if everyone isnt doin so i am for him getting pt but if everyone else is then you just cant justify it

Harrow
Brown
Wood
Howell
Smith

that'll be the starting 5 next year.

As of right now I'd say Javi, Davis, Painter first off the bench

Wood has a TON of work to do in the offseason if he wants to be a starter!

I actually mean there will be no room. His only shot is at the 3....and I don't see how you can start him over Wood from what we have seen so far. He has no outside game, he handles the ball like a PF/Center, and he can't shoot free throws. He's basically an undersized PF as far as his offensive skills.

Oh, and if CJ Leslie *does* come here, Davis won't have any chance.

davis hustles but unless he develops a jumper out to at least 15 feet (preferably more), this will not happen.

^3 guard lineup with Brown/Javi/Harrow?

If you guys are telling me that Brown and Harrow aren't going to start next year, then why does Lowe need to stay?

Yeah you're right that never works like Villanova.

Let's stick to what Sidney wants!

Davis is a role player and not a starter. His job is to come out and show some fire when the rest of team is playing with their thumb up their asses like they were last night. Starting him takes that ability away from him. He plays so hard that he is no good for more than 10 mins a game.

His hustle, while admirable, tends to put him out of position on defense. Also, I don't know if you noticed but no one has to guard him out side of 15ft. The VT defenders just backed off of him while he was around the perimeter and waited for him to drive. As a 3 (the only position that he can play) you have to be able to shoot.

He shouldn't start, but he should spend some time teaching the rest of the team how to rebound.

Our offense is stagnant enough without him in there! He has no jumper and he can't drive the lane! If he starts next year I am never buying tickets again. I am glad someone got my ticket last night.....I would have been pissed when he started.

my money is on the latter.

he's playing like our 3rd or 4th best player right now...and has been for the past few games

give him another couple of games for experience and then a full offseason for training and fundamentals

if that doesn't get him starting lineup consideration, i don't know what will

He went to Athens HS and supposedly was a State fan growing up. When he originally got an offer from Lowe, he said it was his dream to play for the Wolfpack. He'd return home to a welcoming fanbase and get a lots of minutes... probably be a starter. And he'd be playing with some talented but young guys. ... probably be a senior leader.
(complete speculation, with no idea if this is even a possibility)

Last year at Tulane he averaged 17.6 points, 10.7 rebounds, 72% FTs and 49% from the field. that's pretty impressive.
