so if you're asking about PF in general, its ok. but that one specifically, i dont know

meh, it's not bad for $10/month...They have everything you need, but if its crowed you might have to wait to use a particular bench/machine.

I'd just like to have someone to go with to help motivate me to get into a routine.

the only one I've been to lacked a pull up bar and a squat rack...that is everything I need

planet fitness isn't meant for "serious lifting" . They explain that as soon as you sign up. They will even tell you to go to Gold's if you want that style of gym.

^^ it's about $1000 (the approval process is long and winding and stuff like that very rarely gets okayed)

also, currently they are convinced there is nowhere to put another squat rack (even though the Apex gym has 2)
